Hey my names Collin, and I’m here today to show you how to lift the cab on your CAT E-Series Skid Steer Loader.

Lifting the cab makes it easy to access the components underneath.

First, remove the two bolts located on the front of the cab.

Next, lift the cab until it latches on the safety bar.

Now you are able to easily access the hydraulic pumps, hoses and valves as well as clean out mud and debris.

This is so much easier than similar machines from other manufacturers.

To lower simply lift up and unlatch the safety bar and lower the cab and replace the two bolts.

That was today’s quick tip.

Thanks for watching.

Lifting Your Skid Steer Cab

You can lift your skid steer cab with these steps in minutes. First, you need to remove the two bolts at the front of the cab. After you remove the bolts, slowly lift the cab and attach it to the safety bar above the cab.

Once the cab is securely attached to the safety bar, you can access everything that’s underneath. The hydraulic pumps, hoses, and valves are all easily accessible with the cab lifted in this position.

To return the cab back to its original position, just lift the cab off the safety bar and slowly lower it back into place. Your last step is to replace the two bolts. After that, you can start using the skid steer again.

A Simple System for Inspection and Maintenance

There are several different reasons to routinely lift the cab of your skid steer.

Over time, mud and other debris can get underneath the cab and potentially affect the parts there. Lifting up the cab and clearing that gunk out will help your machine run more efficiently and effectively.

You should schedule inspections routinely to see if there are any issues with the parts inside. When you identify a problem early on, you can get it fixed much sooner. A problem left unsolved too long can lead to pricier repairs and delays in the work schedule.

When the skid steer does need repairs, accessing the right area is also much easier. Compared to similar machines made by different manufacturers, lifting the cab of your Cat skid steer is a breeze.

Whatever your reason for accessing the cab of your skid steer, you can do it fast with your Cat equipment.
