Product Link Helps Locate Stolen Skid Steer in Ottumwa, Iowa

The Product Link slogan “It Pays to Know” hit home for an Altorfer customerwhen their skid steer was stolen from a job site overnight last month.

The skid steer was reported missing on February 19th at 7:45 a.m., and thanks to Product Link, was located shortly after outside an apartment complex.Police watched the machine until two suspicious men started operating it.It was later determined that the thieves used the machine to transport several
stolen car transmissions to an Ottumwa home. The skid steer was seized and returned to the job site, and the transmissions were returned to the owners.

Altorfer Sales Representative Jeff Krug says although the event was unfortunate, it allowed an arrest warrant to be solved and gave praise to Altorfer. “Altorfer received many praise from the ownership,” says Krug. “They realized the success of this incident was a major benefit of working with Altorfer.”
