RETURN POLICY

Altorfer Inc. and Altorfer Industries, Inc. (Altorfer) have a liberal parts return policy that is designed to be fair to both the customer and Altorfer. We ask that our customers work with us to ensure that parts returns are kept to a minimum. We feel that it is important for our customers to realize that proper preparation before ordering parts will result in ordering the correct parts in the correct quantities needed. This will not only minimize returns of unneeded items but will allow us to serve you faster and at a savings to you.

  1. Parts must be returned whether in-store or by mail, within sixty (60) days of purchase with reference to the Invoice Document. (Preferably to the store where the purchase was from)
  2. Shipping charges incurred on parts returns are not refunded as part of the total credit
  3. All returned parts will be inspected and will require prior approval by Altorfer before the credit is issued to the customer
  4. All parts indicated on the packing slip as nonstock or if there is an asterisk “*” in the NR column are non-returnable. All gasket, kits, electrical items, and hydraulic hose assemblies are non-returnable. Certain AGCO and CLAAS parts may be non-returnable without an asterisk “*” in the NR column.
  5. All other parts to be returned must be new, sellable and in original unopened Items that are incomplete, rusty, or unidentifiable will be rejected for return. Stocked parts returned within 60 days (45 days for AGCO and CLAAS) of purchase with reference to the document number on this packing list will be accepted without a restocking charge. All non-stocked items returned will be charged a 15% restocking charge after 15 business days of purchase. A restocking charge of 15%, will be charged on any parts returned without paperwork.
  6. Any parts orders made in error due to some fault of an Altorfer employee as determined by parts manager will be accepted for return without penalty to the customer, provided that such a problem is reported, and the parts are returned within 30 days of purchase. Credit will be given at full purchase price.
  7. Upon receipt and acceptance of returned parts, credits are issued next day for customers with dealer credits and 02 to 03 working days for customers with credit card transactions, this is subject to your bank’s processing time

 

AL TORFER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL PARTS RETURN REQUESTS

CATERPILLAR WARRANTY – PARTS AND EXCHANGE COMPONENTS

Caterpillar warrants new parts and Caterpillar exchange components ( other than those parts below) sold by it to be free from defects in material and workmanship subject to the following provisions: During the first one year after purchase by the user, Caterpillar will provide a new part or repaired part, whichever Caterpillar elects, in place of any parts, which are found upon its inspection to be defective in material or workmanship. Such parts will be provided without charge to the user at a place of business of a Caterpillar dealer or other establishment authorized by Caterpillar. Except in the case of an engine powering an on-highway truck, this warranty does not cover labor for removal or installation of parts or exchange components. This warranty does not apply to Caterpillar-branded tires, ground engaging tools or Caterpillar-branded batteries, and Caterpillar Remanufactured Engines, to all of which different warranties apply.

THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Remedies under this warranty are expressly limited to the provision of parts as specified above and any claims for loss arising out of the failure of the parts or exchange components to perform for any period, or other economic or moral loss, or direct, immediate, special, indirect, or consequential damage are expressly excluded. The term “Caterpillar” used herein means Caterpillar Inc., Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc., or one of its subsidiaries, whichever last sold the parts or components involved.

ALTORFER WARRANTY – EXCHANGE PARTS AND EXCHANGE COMPONENTS

Altorfer warrants exchange parts and exchange components sold by it to be free of defects in material or workmanship subject to the following provisions: During the first ninety (90) days after purchase by the user, Altorfer will repair or replace, whichever it elects, any exchange part or exchange component which is found upon inspection by Altorfer, to be defective in material or workmanship. Such repaired or replaced parts or components will be provided without charge to the user at a place of business of Altorfer or another establishment authorized by Altorfer. This warranty does not apply to Altorfer Exchange Engines, Caterpillar remanufactured parts and engines and major component exchange items, or other vendor exchange parts or components – to all of which different warranties apply.

ALTORFER WARRANTY – USED PARTS

Altorfer does not warrant used parts, express or implied, for any reason or purpose. Used parts are non-returnable.

Altorfer’ s responsibility for safe delivery of goods ceases when it obtains clear bill of lading from carrier. Check contents of packages, cartons, or crates immediately. If concealed damages are found on opening shipment, notify carrier immediately and request an immediate inspection of damages. Claims for damages and shortages can be considered only when made within five (5) days after receipt of shipment. It is the responsibility of the customer to see that damage claims are filed with the carrier. Altorfer assumes no responsibility for delay resulting from any other cause beyond its control. Any changes in part numbers have been made to insure you are receiving the latest improved parts, entirely interchangeable with those ordered.
