Overview:

This position services agricultural equipment in the field covering the Western Illinois territory. Counties include, but not limited to: Tazewell, Peoria, Knox, Fulton, Stark, Warren, McDonough and Schuyler county. 

Working Hours/Days:

8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday –Friday, weekends and overtime as needed to handle to customer demand

Basic Duties:

  • Position covers the agricultural market in the following western Illinois counties. Counties included, but not limited to: Tazewell, Peoria, Knox, Fulton, Stark, Warren, McDonough and Schuyler counties 
  • Perform in field service and repairs focusing primarily on Terragators, Rogators, Claas Lexion combines, Fendt, Massey Ferguson and Challenger Tractors and other CAT Ag products.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical and all other systems.
  • Focus on establishing and maintaining service-oriented relationships with customers.
  • Use computer and parts books to look up certain parts.
  • Complete service reports and all other paperwork before and after repairs are made.
  • May perform other related duties as requested and/or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a formal technical training program preferred or equivalent Ag machinery experience and knowledge required.
  • Military and veterans encouraged to apply.

  • Basic computer skills are needed, especially with programs such as Microsoft, Excel, Outlook, and CAT Programs.

This position will spend a good portion of time being outdoors working in agricultural fields, exposed to elements of weather, dust, dirt, different types of vegetation’s, causing allergic reactions. May work in an office environment and travel to customer’s work sites. May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 75lbs. Must be able to climb/operate machinery and various types of farm equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. May sit at a desk for a period of time to answer phone calls or use a keyboard to complete documents and communicate through email. Overview:

Perform in shop service and repairs on all AG products.

Working Hours/Days:

7:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday, overtime and weekends as needed

Basic Duties:

  • Focusing primarily on Terragators, Rogators, Claas combines, Fendt, Challenger and Massey Ferguson Tractors and other Cat AG products.

  • Successful completion of a formal technical training program preferred or 2 years of AG machinery knowledge and experience required.
  • Electrical and hydraulic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills needed.
  • Basic computer skills are needed especially with programs such as Microsoft, Excel, Outlook and CAT Programs.
  • Must have knowledge and previous experience working with parts books.
  • Possess good communication skills and able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Willingness to work overtime and some weekends when needed.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Overview:

Reports to East Peoria Power Systems

 

Summary: Performs operation and maintenance of engine-generator sets, control switchgear, and other plant equipment, including general housekeeping of the overall power plant. Additionally, maintains operation and maintenance records and logs to compile weekly and monthly reports. Assists with scheduling plant activities to maximize uptime and insure optimal plant output.

Working Hours/Days:

7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday, overtime as needed and on-call after hours

Basic Duties:

  • Safe and proper operation of the power plant.
  • Performs start/stop, operation, and maintenance on all plant equipment.
  • Inspects equipment and keeps ongoing operation/maintenance records of all equipment.
  • Monitors fluids and parts inventory onsite to maintain appropriate stocking level.
  • Prepares reports documenting equipment condition.
  • Handles initial response to after hour trouble calls for the power plant.
  • Assists with scheduling field service technicians, as needed.
  • Assists with parts ordering, as needed.
  • Performs general housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Two-year technical degree preferred. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in mechanical/electrical service work.
  • Knowledge of Electric Power Generation equipment, engines, accessories, switchgear, and controls preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to have manual dexterity to operate equipment and tools required on the job
  • Must be able to adjust the controls of a machine quickly and repeatedly to exact positions.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears.
  • Computer literacy including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, e-mail, and verbal).
  • Must be able to handle general math calculations using weight measurement, volume, and distance figures.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift/move up to 50lbs.
  • Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours.

Overview:

Provide technical service support to Power Systems customers in a shop environment. This support is in the form of maintaining and troubleshooting diesel engines. Assist in the shop with engine tear downs, cleaning parts, staging parts for bigger engines, installing and testing to ensure the concern is fixed. Ensures quality customer service activities designed to increase customer satisfaction.

Working Hours/Days:

Working Hours: 7:30am to 4pm-Monday-Friday-no scheduled weekends

Basic Duties:

  • Performs troubleshooting and repair of diesel engines in shop.
  • Performs routine maintenance on diesel engines.
  • Performs engine overhauls and other major repairs, as needed.
  • Parts ordering for work orders.
  • Reports work on timecards and service reports.
  • Works with service office to coordinate work.
  • Assists service office with repair quotes.
  • May perform other related duties as requested and/or assigned.

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum 2-year degree from an accredited Diesel Engine Technology Program or equivalent experience in mechanical service work.
  • PC skills required and experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred. 
  • Must always have outstanding positive attitude!

Overview:

Perform service and repairs on Caterpillar and other types of heavy equipment.

Working Hours/Days:

7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday, overtime and weekends as needed

Basic Duties:

  • Trouble-shoot and repair engine, hydraulic, electrical and all other systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers.

Provide technical service support to Power Systems customers in a shop environment. This support is in the form of maintaining and troubleshooting power generation equipment and accessories. Ensures quality customer service activities designed to increase customer satisfaction.

Working Hours/Days:

630am-300pm Monday - Friday

Basic Duties:

  • Performs troubleshooting and repair of engine-generators and associated accessory equipment.
  • Performs routine maintenance on engine-generators and associated accessory equipment.
  • Performs engine-generator overhauls and other major repairs, as needed.
  • Assists with removal, transportation, and handling of large pieces of equipment, as needed.

  • Capable of basic troubleshooting using prescribed guidelines and documentation.
  • Inspect belts, hoses and all components for signs of leakage or improper operation.
  • Change oil and filters.
  • Maintain Altorfer supplied tooling and equipment, including company provided service vehicle.
  • Responsibility for after hours call outs. When accepting a call – technician is required to perform complete repairs – with the same quality and outcome as regular business hours. Technician may be required to orchestrate special parts arrangements to ensure that downtime is reduced as much as possible.  
  • Perform mechanical work relating to the business of the department.
  • Keep current with industry standards.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, with excellent work ethic, neat appearance and good communication skills. Take full ownership of job.
  • Use safe working practices.
  • Redo or excessive labor does not exceed 5% of total labor hours worked and no cases occur where the customer or company’s equipment is damaged due to mechanic’s neglect or abuse.

POSITION SUMMARY: The purpose of the Shop Helper is to contribute to the overall efficiency of the shop by completing semi-skilled and unskilled tasks, up to and including the loading, unloading, cleaning, and fueling of rental equipment daily in all types of weather.

Working Hours/Days:

Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm or 8:30am-5pm with potential OT daily and an occasional weekend call out.

Basic Duties:

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

 

Semi-Skilled

  • Assist Journeyman Technicians with skilled and/or technical jobs in the shop when a Journeyman is assigned to the job.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service on equipment, attachments, and components. May perform up to 500 hour interval PM services and associated tasks independently.
  • Removal and installation of parts requiring use of hand and air operated tools only, excluding parts that require fine tuning for proper system operation.
  • On a previously blocked-up machine, removal of undercarriage parts limited to the following: carrier rollers, and sprocket segments.
  • Minor painting (not to include professional spray equipment) and heating associated with repair work.
  • Conduct preliminary diagnosis of machinery, component, and system problems (Helpers may not use diagnostic equipment).
  • Installation and replacement of minor electrical components, alternators, ECM’s excluding electric motors.
  • Complete service reports as required
  • Locate and use service literature and/or technical information as required
  • Maintenance and repair of shop equipment and tools.

Unskilled

  • Load/unload components, parts, equipment and machinery.
  • Conduct machine inventories.
  • Conduct storage tank and shop supplies and tool inventories.
  • Maintain tanks and settling pits.
  • Transport or deliver components and equipment as directed.
  • Clean, pressure wash, or otherwise prepare equipment, mechanical parts and components.
  • Maintain wash bays and associated equipment.
  • Perform general shop and facilities clean-up as required.

General Expectations

  • Successfully complete and pass all Service Training and employee development classes

Qualifications:

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Two years experience with hands-on mechanical repair work on diesel or gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, or earthmoving or industrial equipment, OR related certification from an accredited technical school, community college or training program.
  • A successful candidate will be required to provide their own tools including but not limited to ¾ inch drive ratchet & socket sets, box wrench set up to1 ½ inch, ½ inch torque set, ½ inch drive impact tools and additional hand tools.   • Good computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office

This position operates machine tools such as CNC machines, lathes, secondary equipment, and grinders to machine components related to, but not limited to engines, cylinder heads, transmissions and other heavy machinery components.

Basic Duties:

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILIITIES (including, but not limited to):

  • Machines we operate: Rottler CNC, Kent digital lathe, magnaflux equipment and misc. smaller equipment
  • Perform machine setup, operation and startup, restarting the machine, adjusts tooling to maintain proper sizes, replacing broken or worn tooling in a timely manner
  • Ability to perform both manual and programmed repairs on the CNC
  • Verify conformance of work piece to specifications, using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and go-no-go gauges
  • Select, align and secure the holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines including mills, lathes, and grinders
  • Perform layout and programming on the controls required for set-ups
  • Understand how to adjust work offsets

  • Understand G-Code and have the ability to custom write programs when needed

Perform service repairs and preventive maintenance; providing superior service and representing Altorfer’s professional image.

Working Hours/Days:

Mon- Fri 7:30-4

Basic Duties:

  • Ability to properly and completely fill out all service reports, inspection checklists and timecards within department guidelines.
  • Completes all paperwork before moving on to next job; communicates extra time needed to complete tasks to dispatcher.
  • Ability to use SIS, ET, parts and service manuals.
  • Properly segment jobs and order parts accordingly.
  • Return unneeded parts immediately upon job completion, complete all necessary warranty documentation and send completed follow up forms on a timely basis.
  • Effectively communicate job status to customers and office personnel.
  • Works in an efficient manner; at customer’s jobsite, in the shop and when driving to location or shop.
  • Capable of in-depth electrical, hydraulic and power train relate troubleshooting using prescribed tool, guidelines and documentation.
  • Maintain Altorfer supplied tooling and equipment, including company provided service vehicle.
  • Technician may be required to orchestrate special parts arrangements to ensure that downtime is reduced as much as possible.      
  • Perform mechanical work relating to the business of the department.

Basic Duties:

May, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Overview:

Provide technical service support to Power Systems customers in a shop environment. This support is in the form of maintaining and troubleshooting power generation equipment and accessories. Ensures quality customer service activities designed to increase customer satisfaction.

Working Hours/Days:

Working Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday- Friday with the potential for overtime as needed

Basic Duties:

  • Performs troubleshooting and repair of engine-generators and associated accessory equipment.
  • Performs routine maintenance on engine-generators and associated accessory equipment.
  • Performs engine-generator overhauls and other major repairs, as needed.
  • Assists with removal, transportation, and handling of large pieces of equipment, as needed.
  • Handle job planning, securing necessary equipment, and parts ordering for work orders.
  • Reports work on time cards and service reports.
  • Works with service office to coordinate work and ensure customer is satisfied with overall maintenance/repairs.
  • Assists service office with repair quotes.
  • May perform other related duties as requested and/or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 year degree from an accredited Diesel Engine Technology Program or equivalent experience in mechanical/electrical service work.
  • PC skills required and experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred. 
  • Must have outstanding positive attitude at all times! 
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent customer service skills necessary.
  • Must be able to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions
  • Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities needed include: close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to have manual dexterity to operate equipment and tools required on the job.

Perform in field repairs on Agriculture equipment. This position covers the agricultural market in the following Eastern Illinois territory. Counties include, but not limited to: of Southern Kankakee, Iroquois, and Northern Vermilion county

8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday –Friday, weekends and overtime as needed to handle to customer demand

Basic Duties:

  • Perform in field service and repairs focusing primarily on Terragators, Rogators, Claas Lexion combines, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Challenger Tractors and other CAT Ag products.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical and all other systems.
  • Focus on establishing and maintaining service-oriented relationships with customers.
  • Use computer and parts books to look up certain parts.
  • Complete service reports and all other paperwork before and after repairs are made.
  • May perform other related duties as requested and/or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a formal technical training program preferred or equivalent Ag machinery experience and knowledge required.
  • Electrical and hydraulic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills needed
  • Basic computer skills are needed, especially with programs such as Microsoft, Excel, Outlook, and CAT Programs.
  • Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain quality service by leaving customer’s equipment appearance in excellent condition and fix all maintenance issues.
