Altorfer Inc. Welcomes Derek Shireman as
New Sales Representative in Eastern Iowa

Cedar Rapids, Iowa (June 8, 2016) – Altorfer Inc. is pleased to introduce Derek Shireman as a new Cat® Compact Equipment (CCE) Sales Representative in eastern Iowa. Shireman will represent the CCE product line to the agriculture community in Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson and Clinton counties.

Shireman grew up on a dairy farm in Platteville, Wisconsin where he developed a deep passion for farming. Early in his career, Shireman worked for Connolly Construction in Peosta, Iowa for six years and then returned to the ag industry to work for Z & J Farms. There he was involved in all facets of the farming operation and was also exposed to equipment sales. Shireman also began working as a sales representative for Big Iron Auction Services during this time, and most recently worked for Rea Farms prior to joining Altorfer.

“Derek will be a great asset to our company,” says Altorfer General Sales Manager Trevor Shanahan. “His experience in sales and the ag industry, in addition to his passion for farming, will suit him well in this role.”

Shireman currently resides in Cascade, Iowa with his wife and son, and enjoys roping and working on antique tractors in his free time.
