Altorfer Inc. Celebrates
Grand Opening of New
Rental and Lift Truck Location
Guests formed a long line
September 18th at Altorfer Inc.’s newest Rental and Lift Truck location in southwest Cedar Rapids to view the brand new facility.
Employees of Altorfer Inc. greeted nearly all 1,400+ guests with a gift bag, t-shirt and hat as they entered the registration tent, and all had the opportunity to sign up for over 170 giveaways; including grand prizes of a pheasant hunting trip for four to South Dakota, NHRA racing tickets, a Cat® tool chest and a 14’ Jon Boat.
Attendees of the open house were also able to take part in games which included a Cat® skid steer rodeo, Taylor Lift Truck basketball, a golf putting contest, Genie and JLG balloon drop contests and even the opportunity to hear the Cat® #22 Racecar rev up its engine. Guests were also treated to a catered meal, beverages, popcorn and ice cream.
Altorfer Inc. displayed a variety of equipment from their various product lines. Generators, tractors, backhoes, dozers, lift trucks, and worktools were all lined up on site for customers to walk through. Twenty allied vendors set up booths and talked with customers throughout the day, as well as donated several items to the pool of giveaways.
Altorfer Rents serves the landscape, construction, industrial and governmental sectors by offering a full line of Caterpillar machines and a wide variety of complementary products from leading manufacturers including aerial equipment, compaction, generators, lighting and other equipment. In addition, Altorfer Rents locations provide customers with every day construction tools and supplies.
Altorfer Lift Trucks sells, rents and supports the full lines of Cat, Mitsubishi, Omega and Taylor Lift Trucks for the material handling industry. This new location will replace their previous facility at 620 31st Ave. S.W., Cedar Rapids, IA.
