Dix, IL (January 17, 2011) – Altorfer Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of a new full service ag facility in Dix, Illinois. The facility is centrally located in Southern Illinois, one mile east of the 1-57 and Dix interchange.
Altorfer broke ground for the new store in early July of 2010, and opened for business January 10, 2011.
Pat Puntoni, vice president of Altorfer Inc.’s ag division, says the new store is within a one hour radius of most growers and ag retailers located in the area; which will help to expand the ag division’s sales and service coverage in Southern Illinois.
“The new ag location offers in-shop and field service, manned with experienced technicians who are factory-trained and fully-equipped to diagnose and repair the technologically advanced equipment being used today,” says Puntoni. “The new location provides better accessibility to parts and tooling for our technicians; improving our response time for machines repaired in the field,” he says.
Altorfer also offers next day service for the few parts that are not in stock, and has an overnight shuttle service between all Altorfer ag locations - allowing for quick delivery from other Altorfer parts warehouses.
The Dix facility has a full product offering of ag tractors, harvesting equipment, and application equipment. They do not sell or service Caterpillar® construction machinery at this location, as Fabick Cat is the designated Caterpillar dealer for Southern Illinois.
Puntoni says the new store is fully staffed with people who have the experience, training and knowledge to take care of customer needs.
“The staff at our Dix location can help you with your parts, service, or sales needs, as well as provide technical assistance to help solve any problems you may have,” says Puntoni.
“Customers should stop by and tour our new store in Dix,” says Puntoni. “I think they will find that this state-of-the-art facility is the best equipped farm equipment dealership in Southern Illinois.”
